Application areaBuilding trade:
Adhering and fitting a range of construction materials.
Architectural glass:
Transparent indoor glass bonding (not to be used as glazing sealant).
Electrical installation:
Securing cable channels/fastening sockets, notice signs.
Vehicle engineers:
Elastic seals for bodywork, vehicle and container manufacturing.
Booth builders:
Mounting display windows, decorative objects, notice signs, profiles.
Metal workers:
Tension-free structural bonding/stainless steel constructions, post box construction.
Joiners/window fitters:
Floor panels, glass strips, push handles on glass doors and bar console brackets on glass, door bars, galvanised steel frames.
Typical substrates:
ABS, aluminium, stainless steel, glass, glass fibre-reinforced plastic, wood, copper; raw, galvanised, primed and painted sheet steel; hard PVC.
InstructionsAdhesion surfaces must be clean, dry and firm. Prefill joints with suitable materials. We recommend sanding plastic and metal surfaces. The best adhesion results are guaranteed by pretreatment with Activating Cleaner (089010060). Testing the suitability of the material before application is recommended.
As a rule, crystal clear adhesive sealant adheres even without the use of primer, and delivers outstanding results on many building materials such as glass, glazed surfaces, enamel, anodised aluminium, painted wood and various plastics. Würth Adhesion Plus (089010061, 089010062) is recommended on absorbent surfaces and powder-coated surfaces (observe flash-off time).
A minimum adhesive layer thickness of 3 mm is recommended to harness the benefits of thick-coat bonding.
Smooth joints with Würth sealant smoothing agent.
