For sealing flanges and surfaces with minimum joints up to max. 0.5 mm. Replacement for solid seals.

High gap bridging

Completely smooths out surface roughness

100% seal

Gaps are filled completely, so that the resulting bonding provides protection against corrosion from friction and protection against rust.

Notice

The following plastics can be affected in the event of prolonged exposure: ABS, celluloid, polystyrene, polycarbonate (Macrolon), PMMA (Plexiglas), polysulfone, SAN (lurane, Tyril), Vinidur, vulcanised fibre and painted surfaces.

Proof of Performance

NSF registered, class P1, reg. no. 151995

The usage instructions are recommendations based on the tests we have conducted and are based on our experience; carry out your own tests before each application. Application area

Typical application is in the production of liquid seals on torsion-resistant flange joints, e.g. gear unit and motor housings etc. in the automotive and commercial vehicle industry, metalworking and tool manufacturing, shipbuilding, mechanical engineering and engine construction, electrical and electronics construction etc.

Instructions

The surface must be free of oil, grease and other contaminants. Best adhesive results are achieved when the surfaces are cleaned with metal cleaner 7063 (art. no. 0890107063). Observe flash-off time! Manually apply the product across one side of the flange as a continuous bead or by screen printing. The flange should be bolted tightly as soon as possible after joining, so that product does not build up and cause gaps. After assembly, the adhesive hardens to a toughened plastic. The cleaner the surface, the more secure the bonding. The orange sealant cures anaerobically, meaning that it only hardens where the adhesive has no contact with atmospheric oxygen. At the same time, the hardening speed continues to be influenced by the catalytic effect of metal and the gap width. Excessive adhesive that is pressed out of the gap between the two parts does not harden and can be removed with a dry cloth or a cloth saturated with acetone cleaner (art. no. 0893460).
