For sealing all metallic pipe couplings and fittings with conical/cylindrical threads in line with DIN 2999
  • Low-strength - easy removal
  • Sealed immediately against pressure up to 5 bar
  • Sealant does not run off the thread
  • Resistant to most gases and liquids, in accordance with DIN 2999
  • Resistant to a large number of alkalis, gases, solvents, oils and fuels
  • Silicone- and solvent-free

Practical one-handed operation

  • Continuously adjustable dispensing system enables dispensing to be adjusted to suit the application, and to keep consumption and costs to a minimum
  • Good residue removal
Notice
  • Not suitable for screw connections containing copper (brass, bronze, red brass) that come into contact with water > 40°C. Not permitted for gas connections in buildings in Germany. In accordance with TRGI ’86/96.
  • The thread must be cut in accordance with the standard. During and once the product has hardened, the connections may not be rotated against each other, i.e. readjustment is not permitted.
  • The following plastics can be affected in the event of prolonged exposure: ABS, celluloid, polystyrene, polycarbonate (Macrolon), PMMA (Plexiglas), polysulfone, SAN (lurane, Tyril), Vinidur, vulcanised fibre and painted surfaces. We always recommend that you conduct your own tests
  • The initial strength, final strength and functional strength depend on the material
Proof of Performance

Certified quality

  • DVGW approval (reg. no. NG-5146BM0338), tested to DIN EN 751-1
  • NSF-tested to NSF/ANSI 61

The usage instructions are recommendations based on the tests we have conducted and our experience; carry out your own tests before each application. Application area

Ideal for use in the automotive and commercial vehicle industry, metal and tool manufacturing, shipbuilding, machine and engine construction, electrical and electronics construction, etc. Seals metallic pipes in accordance with ISO 7.1 (conical/cylindrical threads) to R 3".

For sealing fittings or valves, threaded connections in metal water pipes (as well as service water in heating or cooling circuits, sprinkler systems, etc.).

It can also be used for sealing petrol pipes, diesel pipes or compressed air lines. The product is also suitable for sealing pressure reducers or oil separators in compressed air supplies or for sealing oxygen pipelines < 10 bar (e.g. hospital care).

Instructions

The surface must be free of oil, grease and other contaminants. Best adhesive results are achieved when the surfaces are cleaned with metal cleaner 7063 (art. no. 0890107063). Observe the flash-off times!

To achieve a completely sealed and pressure-tight connection up to the burst pressure on threaded pipe connections, it is essential that the threads are cut in accordance with the standards, completely coated with adhesive, tightened securely (≥5 Nm) and can no longer be twisted! For pocket holes apply several drops internally along the thread up to the base of the bore hole. For through-bores apply several drops onto the screw where the nut will sit. Excessive adhesive that is pressed out of the gap between the two parts will not harden and can be removed with a dry cloth or a cloth saturated with acetone cleaner (art. no. 0893460).
