Do not allow this product to come into contact with alkyd-resin paint systems. When painting over the sealant, it must be taken into account that the thickness and hardness of the paint film may impair the adhesive's elasticity and thereby cause cracks.

1-component polyurethane adhesive and sealing compound specially developed for use in boat and ship construction, which is used for different bonding and sealing operations. Typical applications are the bonding and joining of plastic glass panes and portholes.
Typical surfaces include acrylic glass (PMMA, polycarbonate), aluminium, GFRP, stainless steel, wood. Not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE, silicone rubber, polystyrene and softened plastics.
The surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust and grease. The best adhesion results are achieved by pre-treating the surfaces with Activating Cleaner and AdhesionPlus Metal surface cleaners or Bond and Seal Adhesion Plus for plastic/wood/stone. Smoothing must be done during the adhesive's skin-formation time. Material that has not cured can be removed using adhesive remover. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically. PU Marine porthole sealant can be painted over once the skin has formed, although preliminary tests should first be performed to verify paint compatibility.
